Each year, a distinguished panel of curators and art professionals come together to evaluate and honor the most exceptional talent from around the globe. The winner of the Artist Prize will not only be recognized for their artistic merit but also receive valuable exposure to the art world.

ART214 is part of Dallas Arts Month, a city-wide celebration of Dallas arts first launched in 2013. Arts Month is designed to build awareness for and appreciation of the work of Dallas artists and organizations and foster creative learning and activity throughout the city. Residents and visitors are encouraged to participate in the events and programming offered by arts and cultural institutions from all disciplines. Latino Hustle: Aqui/Ahora

April 5 – April 26, 2019 - Fort Worth Community Arts Center

A multimedia exhibition showcasing a selection of Latino/x artists who are responding to the political and social climate of today. Through an investigative lens the artists delve into issues of commerce and labor, historical narratives seen through an altered perspective, activism and the inevitable cultural collision of our time. The exhibition presents artists Sara Cardona, Francisco Josue Alvarado Araujo, Jeffry Valadez, Melissa Gamez-Herrera, Giovanni Valderas and Fabiola Valenzuela.

 

Latino Hustle: Brindis

Dec 7 – Dec 27, 2018 - Fort Worth Community Arts Center

A show celebrating local Latinx artists in collaboration with art collective, Art Tooth, as part of the Family Reunion calendar end exhibitions at the Fort Worth Community Art Center. Brindis, or Toast, gives thanks to the many artists Latino Hustle has been able to showcase and exhibit in Fort Worth, TX. In the spirit of Art Tooth’s These are my Friends program, we bring together a selection of local and regional Latinx artists who we consider friends and are making big impacts with their work. The exhibition includes Fabiola Valenzuela, Brenda Edith Franco, Melissa Gamez-Herrera, Juana Guzman, Ricardo Orozco and Arnold Hurtado.

A pop up exhibition and photo-zine sale, La Pulga at Nepantla USA in Austin, TX. Mejorado’s photographic series, La Pulga is published by Deep Red Press and captures the rich and vibrant culture of San Antonio's' flea market, mercados, and tiagius community. La Pulga brings visibility and dignity to the forefront of these communities and represents working class Latina/o/x that make up the beating heart of San Antonio, TX.
